View Our Schools Policies
Our school policies are designed to ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all our pupils, staff, and families. These policies reflect our commitment to our EPIC values, high standards, and the well-being of our school community.
Embleton View provide breadth and balance that reflect personal interests in our programmes, to motivate students who are disaffected to re-engage with education and to embrace the concept of learning.
We want our students to acquire knowledge and learn new skills but we realise that, in a community like Embleton View, there needs to be a therapeutic dimension to each day.
Students have support via their Learning Coaches (LC) in any learning environment and it is possible for them to take time out where necessary if required.
Therefore, this curriculum has been carefully designed to allow for time and opportunities to address students’ often complex needs for the time that they are with us; also, to prepare them for the time when they will leave.
The delivery of this curriculum must consider other considerations, most of which are due to the profile of our students, their circumstances. We plan to offer a broad and balanced curriculum catering for students with very individual needs, therefore some subject areas will be covered through cross-curricula projects rather than discrete subject sessions and some elements of this policy will be aspiration rather than fact.
Embleton View provide a secure and stable environment for our students in which they are able to feel safe, a sense of belonging and begin to trust the adults around them. We provide them with the support, knowledge and skills they will need to move forward towards gaining confidence, developing communication skills, social inclusion and personal growth.
Embleton View provide comfortable learning environments which have all resources needed to learn but which feel less formal than a traditional school environment in which the students have struggled in.
Great emphasis is placed on displaying students’ work within the learning environment. We encourage students to improve presentation by using computers and various design mediums. Key words in subject areas are also clearly on display to aid vocabulary development.

Mark H, ParentI can’t thank Keys enough for the care and support they’ve provided for my daughter. The staff are always attentive, and they genuinely listen to her needs. She has made amazing progress in both her education and personal growth, and I see a brighter future for her every day. Keys has truly changed our lives for the better.
We welcome referrals and enquiries from parents and local authorities. To discuss how Keys Education can support your child, please contact us using the form below or reach out to our admissions team directly.
Parents, carers, or local authorities can contact us to discuss the needs of the child.
We ask the person wishing to commission the placement (normally the Local Authority) sends over relevant information, such as, EHCP, previous school reports, professionals reports.
This allows us to conduct a thorough assessment to determine if we are the right provision to meet needs.
Once we feel needs can be met, we work closely with all parties to facilitate the placement process. If the Local Authority request the place, this is subject to funding being agreed at a panel meeting.
After admission, we provide continuous support to ensure the child settles in well and their needs are met.
If you would like to make a referral, please email or call our team. They will be happy to help. We look forward to partnering with you to provide the best possible education and support for your child.
