Keys Group has launched Keys Inclusion Pathways, a suite of innovative, trauma-informed and technology-enabled programmes designed to support children and young people for whom attending a traditional or specialist school is a significant challenge.
Drawing on more than 30 years of experience in supporting vulnerable children and young people, Keys Inclusion Pathways has been created to meet the growing need for flexible, personalised education that can be delivered safely, confidently and sustainably, wherever the learner is.
Keys Inclusion Pathways takes learning beyond the classroom and builds bespoke, future-focused pathways around the strengths, needs and aspirations of each individual child. Rather than providing a substitute for school, the approach is designed to stabilise, re-engage and prepare learners for successful transitions back into education or onward into training or employment.
The pathways include four integrated approaches - Keys Engage, Keys Tuition, Keys Alternative Learning and Keys Online School - each of which can be delivered alone or blended to create a tailored package. Together, they provide academic learning, therapeutic support, vocational and enrichment opportunities and technology-enabled options for learners unable to access school settings.
Learners may have experienced trauma, disrupted education, SEND or SEMH needs, emotionally based school avoidance, residential or EOTAS arrangements, or other barriers that make school attendance overwhelming. Keys Inclusion Pathways provides consistent relational support, clear structure and personalised progression, while maintaining a strong focus on readiness to learn, resilience, confidence and independence.
Matt Tiplin, Education Director at Keys Group, said: “Keys Inclusion Pathways brings together everything we have learned over three decades about what children need in order to thrive.
“Too many young people disengage simply because the system cannot flex to meet their needs. These pathways allow us to wrap support around each learner, at the right time and in the right way, so they have the best possible chance of success.
“This is connected, trauma-informed, personalised education at its best, and it will change outcomes for children who deserve more than a one-size-fits-all model.”
Each pathway is aligned with DfE Alternative Provision standards, Ofsted and CQC expectations and supports EHCP outcomes. Learners also benefit from access to Keys Group’s extensive clinical team, ensuring holistic support that addresses both academic progress and personal development.
Keys Inclusion Pathways are now available for commissioning nationwide.
