South Park is committed to each and every one of our pupils, providing specialist support tailored to each individual’s unique needs, helping all pupils achieve their full potential. Young people often arrive at our school with negative perceptions of the education system, having experienced repeated rejection. We are dedicated to turning their experience of learning into a positive one.

A message from the Headteacher

Welcome to South Park Enterprise College

We provide specialist education for young people aged 11-16 who have an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) with a primary need of Social, Emotional and Mental Health support. Many of our pupils also have Autism and ADHD. We welcome all pupils who need this extra support to enable them to re-engage with education, access a flexible curriculum to help raise self-esteem, achieve accreditation and so be able to make successful choices for their future.

Our broad and balanced curriculum ensures all our pupils can access a wide range of subjects with the addition of Enrichment Activities and Vocational Studies built into everyone’s timetable.

Based in Scunthorpe we can access many local facilities for enrichment and learning both locally and in the surrounding villages. We have also recently undergone a full refurbishment of our buildings and within a few minutes we have a separate Enterprise Centre where pupils can develop specific and transferable vocational skills. And, of course, there is access to the Keys PEAK and ALFA provisions and Keys specialist clinical support.

Our aims are that

We want pupils to want to come to school each day
When they are here, we want all pupils feel safe, valued and supported
When they leave us at 16, we want all pupils to feel equipped and ready for either further study, an apprenticeship or able to take up local job opportunities
